Dr. Raskin earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. He also completed a fellowship in endocrinology metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Health Sciences Center.
Recognition
Dr. Raskin's many honors include the Clifton and Betsy Robinson Chair in Biomedical Research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and the Owens Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology, and belongs to several other professional associations. He is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Investigation, Diabetes, and the Annals of Internal Medicine. He has also authored numerous chapters in clinical textbooks and is regularly listed in Best Doctors in America.
