Summary
Dr. Rodriguez served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Assistant Research Endocrinologist at the University of California San Francisco. He later served as Co-Director of Pediatric Endocrinology at De Vos Children's Hospital and Clinical Professor of the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids.

Education
Dr. Rodriguez earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. He completed his residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Recognitions
Dr. Rodriguez is a well-published author of many scientific articles, abstracts, and book chapters on pediatric endocrinology and prevention of type 1 diabetes. He received the Physician Scientist Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Leo J. Kenny Award for Excellence in Resident Education from the DeVos Children's Hospital. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology, a member of the Professional Section of the American Diabetes Association, and Board President of the Indiana State Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Clinical Diabetes and an Associate Editor for Diabetes Forecast. He has served on review panels for several NIH, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Department of Defense projects. He also serves as a reviewer for the Pediatrics and Diabetes Care journals.
