Dr. Wilson has an expansive career in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. He is board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology and in General Pediatrics. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Wilson's research interests cover a number of areas in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. In addition to his faculty and physician positions at Stanford, he is working with Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet to study preventing or delaying the onset of Type 1 diabetes, he an investigator in DirecNet, another NIH-funded study group, which is evaluating glucose sensors and the role of technology on the management of diabetes.
Dr. Wilson received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wilson has received numerous awards and honors, including the Luetje-Stubbs Faculty Scholar, and America's Best Doctors since 1999. He is on the editorial board of Diabetes: Technology and Therapeutics and a reviewer for multiple journals, including JAMA and Lancet. He has also written or contributed to more than 100 publications.
