Does someone in your family have type 1 diabetes? Do you want to know if others in your family might develop it?

If someone in your family has diabetes, others in your family might be at risk.

We can tell if a person is at risk by doing a blood test. Certain proteins show up in the blood up to 10 years before a person develops diabetes.
